There's a First Time for Everything!

I am currently in the process of working on my first book. My first book to be independently published. I have read and listened to several romance novels throughout the years. My obsession with how those before me had the ability to tell a story intrigued me. The intrigue gave me the push to begin creating outlines, and understanding the types of stories I wanted to tell. Modern African American Romance is the genre where the stories I want to tell best fit.

It's probably pretty obvious, but this is my first blog post... EVER!! I am on a journey to conquer my fears and prove myself that all things are possible. While on this journey, I want to bring the experience of the love and lives of the characters. I had ideas, stories, characters in my head, that I felt I needed to bring life to, but I never shared them. The writing has been there, I just needed to be brave enough to share it. My goal is to introduce characters that the reader can identify with... the life choices, situations, ideals, and thoughts of the characters as they maneuver through their destiny.

This journey has begun, get ready... I'm taking you along with me through the process.
